From the first taste of Pump Street Bakery Chocolate we were hooked they make small batch, handmade chocolates in Suffolk from beans imported directly to the bakery from family farms and cooperatives around the world.
Pump Street hand select the beans and then carefully roast, winnow, grind and conch them for up to 5 days before maturing and tempering the chocolate into bars. They tailor the process at each step of the way to coax a unique flavour from our different types of beans.
This obsessive care and attention to detail yields a chocolate that is entirely manufactured in Suffolk and unbelievably delicious.
This chocolate is made from beans from the Sambirano Valley. A creamy, luxurious whole milk chocolate with notes of caramel and treacle and the zesty finish characteristic of Madagascan beans, it will appeal to those with a sweet tooth as well as dark chocolate devotees.
