French portraits are always a favourite but this one is seriously special - you may noticed she was painted in 1816. This portrait is one of our favourites - she is on a dark background but the contrast with that pink trim is enchanting. Just so beautiful. The portrait has a few worn bits to the edges but we think this just makes her more perfect. I love the detailing on the clothes and hat - so pretty!
