French portraits are absolutely on trend at the moment - you may have seen them all over Instagram. This portrait is one of our favourites - she is on a dark background and looks as though she is coming out of the shadows. Just so beautiful. The portrait has a few worn bits to the edges but we think this just makes her more perfect. Painted in 1906 she’s a real antique.
