Confit jars = Ivy Joan, it's just simple mathematics. So you can imagine that my heart skipped a beat when I came across this absolutely stunning confit from a dealer specialising in Italian antiques. She is an old piece in the most beautiful shape and colour, these are incredibly hard to find and you can see why, delicate and stunning! She is priced accordingly to wear as she has chips around her neck, what is particularly special, not just her size as she is the smaller size but she has a potters print. I’ve found a few pots like this and I love it, they have a small hand and thumb indent where the potter has held it before firing. It’s such a lovely detail, discreet but I love that it tells a story.
