We couldn't believe it when we found this on our recent trip to Paris, always a joy to find, originally used for ‘country wine’. It’s an old term for wine from the region, usually only available in that region and set above the usual house wine. Such a beauty. They make super beautiful vessels for flowers! She has one small historic chip to the base edge but it is a watertight piece. A great Charolles piece for the collection.
