Clement Gontier was a French painter who was born in 1876. He specialised in florals and artwork of small French villages. He died in 1918 and since then his florals have been sought after selling between £300-£4000 at auction. They are very special pieces, true antiques which are beautifully painted. These are sold separately but of course they work best together.
They are the same size painted in oil on a wooden board one is in a white vase and the flowers are in a pink and purple colourway, the other in a green vase with an orange and purple colourway.
