Gosh these are absolutely gorgeous, a rare group of 19th century primitive folk art people, perfect for collectors of early toys or folk art. They are sweet wooden carved pieces.
These four have a wonderful naïve folk art character. They share a consistent style that suggests they were made as a set so I would really like to keep them together.
The people measure roughly 3.25 inches high.
Condition is fair for their age with wear and handling patina consistent with children’s toys from the 1800s. The wear only adds to their authentic folk art character.
They are well worn in places but that’s what they are all about! |
