This is a lovely piece, it’s an antique French Water Filter, it’s a chippy piece with lots of age and ware but it’s from around 1880 so lots of age and the chips for me are something that adds to this piece. I love seeing the authenticity of pieces, you know each knock and graze is part of its history. As it is a filter the bottom is made up of tiny holes for the water to drain through so this cannot be used to display fresh flowers but it works perfectly for dried flowers or to hold utensils. I love the gargoyle face, it’s great!
