Gosh this is amazing, it’s a huge shop sign from the past. The colours and typography are absolutely beautiful, the is one has lots of age and the shape makes it particularly special, this would look incredible in a big kitchen in a barn conversion. Imagine it on a big wall, what a feature. These are sought after as you can imagine as they aren’t frequently found especially ones this lovely.
She is timeworn, one end has more ware than the rest of the piece, it looks like it has had some historic rot but this is treated and the wood is now hard and in good condition. I’ve included photos of that end, for me these blemishes are signs of the piece’s authenticity and for me they add to the piece.
