It was love at first sight. This painting is truly stunning. An incredible antique oil on canvas, the detail is beautiful. We found him in the Loire Valley from an art dealer with a very good reputation. The detail is so fine, I love that at first you don’t see it and then the outline of his jacket is visible with the gorgeous buttons and the swirl of the chair arm, just beautiful. I love it, this one is worn, he has a few tears but we love it, the ware adds to the authenticity of the piece! If you appreciate worn antiques this is one for you.
