These are aged french paintbrushes, they are very sought after at the minute for styling and imagery. Look at the coolest vintage instagrams and you will see the love a paintbrush. This one is a lovely shape with a rustic finish; it is heavily worn with worn but has been treated, so it’s historic, for me worn holes make the piece but we are all different.
I could see this being styled on a dark wall Hung next to a oil painting.
