This lovely jar is from around 1870, it’s a lovely stoneware piece. It would have originally have been for preserves, far cooler than today’s plain jars!
I love that this one is really chunky, it’s a really soft shape! It’s almost a bowl shape so would be good on a counter, it reminds me of pooh bears honeypot :)
