This is a really interesting piece, I’m not sure exactly what it is, do you know? It’s obviously a 19th century mould but for what I’m not sure? It reminds me of a cheese mould but I’m not sure this shape would be used for cheese, perhaps a pate?
What I do know is irrelevant of the damage (as seen in photo) and confusion over use this is a real talking piece and totally beautiful! If you love shabby chic style this is a perfect treat!
